Learn MoreAdmission is free to all visitors. We are located on the campus of Oberlin College (about 40 minutes west of Cleveland) near several highways, including I-80/Ohio Turnpike, I-480, and I-90.
The museum is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and major holidays, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the following day, and each year from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. It is also closed on Fridays in July in conformance with Oberlin College's July Friday office closures.

Free, ample parking is available on the street in front of the museum building. Overflow parking for evening events is located behind the museum (off Willard Court).

The museum is located at the southeast corner of Ohio Routes 58 and 511 (Main St. and Lorain St.).
I-80 (Ohio Turnpike)
Travel west to exit 140 (Amherst/Oberlin interchange). Go south for 6 miles on Ohio Route 58. At the intersection with Ohio Route 511 (Lorain St.), the museum will be on your left.
I-90
Travel west on I-90 and follow Ohio Route 2 west. Exit at Ohio Route 58 (Levitt Rd.) in Amherst and go south. At the intersection with Ohio Route 511 (Lorain St.), the museum will be on your left.
I-480 (from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport)
Follow I-480 west as it becomes Ohio Route 10 west toward Norwalk as it becomes Ohio Route 20 west. Take the ramp for Ohio Route 511(Lorain St.) toward Oberlin. Go west for 2 miles, then turn left on Ohio Route 58 (Main St.). The museum will be immediately to your left.
Travel on I-71 north to I-80 west (Ohio Turnpike)
Take exit 140 (Amherst/Oberlin interchange) and go south for 6 miles on Ohio Route 58 into Oberlin. At the intersection with Ohio Route 511 (Lorain St.), the museum will be on your left.
Take I-80 (Ohio Turnpike)
Take the turnpike east to exit 140 (Amherst/Oberlin interchange). Go south for six miles on Ohio Route 58. At the intersection with Ohio Route 511 (Lorain St.), the museum will be on your left.

The Weltzheimer/Johnson house is located about 1.5 miles west of the museum, at 534 Morgan St., in Oberlin. Download directions to the house from the Allen.
