FREE FAMILY FUN

Artists and scientists unite! Explore the natural world through art making, microscopes, and more during this free event for all ages. Create an apothecary jar and study plants—like early modern scientists in the exhibition Science on Display. Relax with live music, enjoy herbal tea, and do a puzzle. There’s something for everyone at the Allen!

11 AM–3 PM Drop-in activities
1–3 PM Harp performance by Elizabeth Johnson (OC 2025)

Voluntary donations of non-perishable goods for Oberlin Community Services will be collected at the doors.

Registration for this free event is encouraged but not required to attend.

Access Statement:

Spanish translations will be offered during the event by student guides and on some signage (artwork labels are in English). This event will be held in a wheelchair- and rolling walker-accessible building. Activities will be primarily in the East Gallery on the main floor, with optional offerings in additional galleries. This event will include hands-on activities for ages 3+. Restrooms are gender-specific and wheelchair-accessible. Listening devices and ASL are currently not scheduled for this event, nor will it be recorded. The sound level will include background music and talking. Preparen un frasco de boticario y estudien plantas como los primeros científicos modernos en la exposición Science on Display; o relájense con música en vivo, té de hierbas y rompecabezas. ¡Hay algo para todes en el Allen!

Este evento se llevará a cabo en un edificio accesible para sillas de ruedas y andadores con ruedas. Las actividades se realizarán principalmente en la Galería Este en el piso principal, con ofertas opcionales en galerías adicionales. Este evento incluirá actividades prácticas para mayores de 3 años. Los baños son específicos para cada género y accesibles para sillas de ruedas. Actualmente, no se han programado dispositivos de escucha ni lenguaje de señas para este evento, ni se grabará. El nivel de sonido incluirá música de fondo y conversaciones.
