Allen Memorial Art Museum: Highlights from the Collection showcases more than 200 artworks to illustrate the unique story of the development of a museum for Oberlin College. Founded in 1917 and since its beginning open free to all, the AMAM is recognized as one of the finest college and university art museums in the United States. The collection includes more than 15,000 works by such artists as Dawoud Bey, Hendrick ter Brugghen, Paul Cézanne, Renée Green, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Claude Monet, Amadeo Modigliani, Horace Pippin, and J.M.W. Turner, as well as important holdings of Asian, African, and ancient art.
