The first-ever general handbook to the AMAM collection was published in the fall of 2011 and is available for purchase at the AMAM. Briefly outlining the history of the museum and illustrating more than 200 works from the collection in color, the handbook is an indispensable guide for all art lovers.

Allen Memorial Art Museum: Highlights from the Collection showcases more than 200 artworks to illustrate the unique story of the development of a museum for Oberlin College. Founded in 1917 and since its beginning open free to all, the AMAM is recognized as one of the finest college and university art museums in the United States. The collection includes more than 15,000 works by such artists as Dawoud Bey, Hendrick ter Brugghen, Paul Cézanne, Renée Green, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Claude Monet, Amadeo Modigliani, Horace Pippin, and J.M.W.
