Digital Reimaginings takes a multimodal approach to museum learning through 3D prints of artworks along with their scans, audio descriptions, braille, and large-text labels. These interactions allow for a broader understanding and appreciation of works of art. Simultaneously, this decenters a visually dependent experience to foster an environment where visitors can connect to art through sight, sound, and touch. This exhibition seeks to take accessibility beyond ADA compliance by designing with and for individuals with disabilities. By foregrounding accessibility in all planning and decision-making—rather than as an afterthought—art can be more inclusive and engaging for all. As you explore this space and its materials, how does your experience with art change through the supplemental use of technology and tactile learning materials?
