Trace Elements is the first exhibition devoted exclusively to the work of Oberlin's Studio Art faculty to be held at the AMAM in more than 30 years. Featured are new works by artists Rian Brown, Johnny Coleman, Pipo Nguyen-duy, John Pearson, Sarah Schuster, and Nanette Yannuzzi-Macias. Diverging in aesthetic and medium, these paintings, prints, drawings, and photographs, as well as sculpture, film, video and installations, connect with facets of the physical and intellectual landscape that surrounds us. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue that provides a closer look at each artist and their work.
This exhibition was organized by Stephen D. Borys with curatorial interns Susanna Newbury '05 and Alexander Grogan '05.
