In King Sculpture Court
Featuring works by Joseph Beuys, Christian Holstad, Alison Saar, Doris Salcedo, Peter Shelton, Kiki Smith, and Rona Pondick, this exhibition shows the range of media and the vaired approaches used to depict the human form in contemporary sculpture.
The show points to a constantly evolving discourse on how the body is understood and imagined by artists. Holstadís When the Color Runs Out (on loan to the museum), installed in the King Sculpture Court, immediately sets the tone for discovery and contemplation.
