Explore the exhibition On the Life, Breath, and Death of Trees through a hands-on woodworking workshop. Gather inspiration through a tour of the exhibition with Kevin R. E. Greenwood, Joan L. Danforth Curator of Asian Art, followed by a workshop with Ellis Lane, Curatorial Assistant in Education. Learn about the different traditions of woodworking, how to create your own bentwood ring, and how you can start a woodworking practice with a simple home set up.
No experience necessary. This event is free and open to the public (ages 13+). Space is limited, and registration is required by September 18: amam.oberlin.edu/bentwood
