June Leaf was a genre-defying artist whose spindly metal sculptures are the centerpiece of her career retrospective on view at the Allen. Leaf thought of her art practice as a form of choreography, setting figures and kinetic sculptures in motion. In this talk, Sam Adams, Ellen Johnson '33 Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, will discuss working with Oberlin dance and music students to activate the exhibition, fulfilling Leaf's wish to "make things that move."
