Join us in Hallock Auditorium at the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for a film screening of Another Light on the Road: Robert Frank and June Leaf's Canadian Home, directed by Katrina Whalen and John Parlante (2025).
For 50 years, the artist couple June Leaf and Robert Frank maintained a part-time residence in a remote fishing village in Nova Scotia. The majestic landscape and local population had a deep impact on their artistic output. For Leaf, it inspired an introspective and existentially complex body of work across drawing, painting, and metal sculpture. This film premiered at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival and has been presented at Anthology Film Archives, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Addison Gallery of American Art.
