Get ready for an afternoon of creative exploration! Art enthusiasts of all ages can drop in anytime for art making, cookie decorating, and musical performances at this free event inspired by the exhibition Picturing Paris: Monet and the Modern City. Don't miss Monet’s early cityscapes, on view together for the first time in North America!

Optional donations of non-perishable goods for Oberlin Community Services will be collected at the doors.

11–11:15 Musical Performance

The award-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George comes to the Allen in this special 15-minute preview performed by Oberlin Conservatory's Music Theater students who are cast in the current production at Great Lakes Theater in Playhouse Square.

Experience the power of art and music as students perform original compositions inspired by works on view! Follow students through the galleries to hear their songs and stories, starting at 11:30 and again at 12:30.

Access Statement:

Spanish translations of event materials and on-site translators will be available. This event will be held in a wheelchair- and rolling walker-accessible building. Activities will be primarily in the East Gallery on the main floor, with optional offerings in additional galleries. This event will have hands-on activities for ages 3+. Restrooms are gender-specific and wheelchair-accessible. Listening devices and ASL are currently not scheduled for this event, nor will it be recorded. La obra premiada Un Domingo en el Parque con George (Sunday in the Park with George) será presentada en el Allen con un preestreno especial de 15 minutos por los estudiantes de teatro musical del conservatorio de Oberlin que actualmente son parte del reparto de la producción en el teatro de Great Lakes en Playhouse Square.
