Interested in an afternoon of reading, writing, and workshopping art-inspired poems? Join poet Lynn Powell to discuss contemporary poems inspired by visual art and experiment with writing your own poem in the museum galleries. In the final hour, you will have the chance to workshop your poem in front of the art that inspired you.
Poets of all levels and backgrounds, aged 15 and up, are welcome to participate in this free workshop. All materials will be provided. Please register here.
Access Statement:
This event will be held in a wheelchair- and rolling walker-accessible building with wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Activities will be primarily in the East Gallery on the main floor. Restrooms are gender-specific; visitors are invited to use the restroom of their preference. No listening devices or ASL interpretation will be available at this event.
