Elisabeth Sussman, Curator and Sondra Gilman Curator of Photography, Whitney Museum of American Art, presents a talk exploring how archives are utilized in research. Learn how the Eva Hesse Archive of more than 1,300 items housed at the Allen Memorial Art Museum helped Sussman to understand the artist and her work and how the primary “evidence” of archives guides curators as they craft exhibitions.
This in person event will be held in the King Sculpture Court and will be followed by a tour of the exhibition, "Forms Larger and Bolder: Eva Hesse Drawings," by curator Andrea Gyorody.
