Strategic Plan 2026–2028

The Cause of Art is the Cause of the People

In 2023, the Allen launched a strategic plan centered on three primary goals:

  • Launch an architectural feasibility study for a proposed expansion
  • Find a long-term solution to staffing museum security
  • Establish new positions, particularly a deputy director and a campus and community coordinator.

By summer 2025, all three goals had been achieved. In fall 2025, the museum undertook a refresh of the plan to align with the vision of its new director. This process engaged the entire staff in developing our goals and focused on launching the expansion project beyond the architectural feasibility study. With guidance from Julie Clarke and Elizabeth Voudouris from Business Volunteers Unlimited, the Allen refined its goals for the next three years while maintaining its core mission, vision, and values.
