Support for the museum continues our tradition of bringing art to the people.
Learn MoreThe Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College stands on unceded ancestral lands originally stewarded by moundbuilders, Erie, Wyandotte, Mingo, and numerous other confederated Indigenous Nations and Peoples.
The Allen acknowledges the native inhabitants of this land and the legacies of displacement and occupation from which Oberlin continues to benefit. We also recognize the role that art and material culture have played in the history of dispossession. We aim to use our collections, programming, and community engagement as a way to reflect on these histories, confront ongoing legacies of colonialism, and make the museum a welcoming and representative space for all.
