Moss Shorokey (OC 2026) leads an informal discussion on Kylix with Palmette-Eye Motif, depicting a Reclining Youth Playing the Game of Kottabos from 530–495 BCE Greece.

This event is part of our Object Talk series, during which the Allen's Gallery Guides give informal talks on their favorite objects in the collection. We hope to see you there!

Access Statement:
This talk will be held in a wheelchair- and rolling walker-accessible building with wheelchair-accessible restrooms. The talk will be in the galleries on the main floor; gallery seating is limited, and camp stools are available by the back entrance. Restrooms are gender-specific; visitors are invited to use the restroom of their preference. No listening devices or ASL interpretation will be available at this event. Image description: A shallow and wide bowl has a short stand and two handles on opposing sides. Around the edge of the bowl is a scene of a bearded squatted figure tilting a pitcher towards their face, while the other arm balances a bowl resembling this Kylix.
