Art Rental Purchase Party

Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Join us on Zoom for the first ever Art Rental Purchase Party! Six museum interns will pitch a selection of works of art they would like to see added to the Art Rental collection, then Oberlin College students will vote for their favorite one. The work with the most votes will be purchased and available to rent this October and beyond.

The purchase party also includes presentations by museum curators on three of the newest works to enter the Art Rental collection (shown here), by artists Lu Ke, Kent Monkman, and Yétúndé Olagbaju.

This event will take place virtually. Please preregister to receive the Zoom link.

The six students who will make presentations—participants in the SOAR Internship in Museum Education in early 2021—are Biba Duffy-Boscagli, Gillian Ferguson, Fudi Fickenscher, Ursula Hudak, Natalie Ivy, and Alia Schreiber-Goldstein.
