Mindful Meditation with "Memory Board (Lukasa)"

Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In the first session of our summer Mindful Meditation series, clinical therapist Libni López guides a meditation with Memory Board (Lukasa), an object made by unrecorded Luba artists in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Following the meditation, an AMAM staff member will facilitate an interactive discussion.

This event will take place virtually. Please register for the session to receive the Zoom link.

Presented by the AMAM and the Oberlin College Counseling Center.

Unrecorded Luba artists, Memory Board (Lukasa), Democratic Republic of the Congo, 20th century. Wood, beads, and nails. Gift in honor of Alexandra Gould (OC 2011), 2011.26.31.
